Exchanging Greeting Cards With Loved Ones

This has now become a rare sight. People have become too engrossed with technology that even things that are supposed to be sentimental turned into a mere tradition that we just obliged to. How so? Let’s take the greeting card exchange during holidays for example, when was the last time you've seen people doing this?

I mean those physical cards handpicked from stores then handwritten with a sincere message for a loved one then sent through mail. It’s been ages right? This practice have been replaced with “cards” which are actually pictures of cards sent through Facebook or whatever social media people use nowadays.

Some may argue that it’s the thought that counts, but, with all due respect, it could also be that some people are only using this as an excuse for convenience. There is no problem with using technology to our convenience and advantage, but relying on them all the time is just plain old laziness sugarcoated with pretentious effort.

Don’t be this kind of person. When it comes to things or people that matters, going out of your way to buy and send your loved ones greeting cards that you know they’ll love more than emailing them a mere “Happy Holidays”.
