Mother’s Day Gifts That Won’t Break The Bank

Greeting cards Singapore

Mother's Day is a perfect time to celebrate your mother and all her wonderful qualities. Looking for gifts or fun ways to celebrate Mother’s Day?

So, of course you want your gifts to be extra special. But unfortunately you’re on a tight budget. Stumped? Don’t be, here are some gift ideas that may not have a hefty price tag but will surely warm the heart of your mother.

Flowers
This could probably be the most clichéd gift that you could ever give. But unless she’s allergic with pollens, a bunch of these beauties will definitely stretch her lips to a smile.  Besides receiving flowers have always been comforting, not to mention flattering.

Book Or Movie
Yes, Mother’s day recognized and celebrated, but we cannot deny that we’re still struggling with true equality. If you want to see more women kicking ass out there and more people remembering them for it, we’ve got to gain as much knowledge as we can. Gift someone with an empowering book or copy of movie that will help them achieve that.

You want a gift filled with love that will leave her full? What better gift is there than a home cooked dish or dessert! Greeting Cards: In The Middle Of A Busy Road

People nowadays are so busy that they walk the street always hustling. Trying to catch a meeting, a flight, or already late for work. They ride the subway with their phone in their hands or a laptop positioned in front of them. In attempt to still be in the loop with what’s happening by the minute because that’s how fast paced the world is. You go offline one minute and you’ve probably missed half of your life.

This is the reason why the industry of greeting cards has declined. Greeting cards? Who has the time to make one or even buy one and send it to somebody, right? But we owe it to ourselves and to the people we love to see beyond these momentary things that’s occupying us and realize what truly matters. Being connected—not online—but to the family, friends or colleague that means the world to us is.

Even in a simple gesture like greeting cards, even in the middle of a busy road of Singapore, makes a difference.

And besides, technology is actually the reason why this should be a whole lot easier and convenient for you despite your hectic schedule. Because there are online platforms now that offers services like greeting card making. You can have it as personalized as you want, you just have to tell them what to put, send them the addresses of your loved ones and they’ll send it to them right at their doorstep. No sweat right?

What’s your excuse now?

Do Mother Nature a favor this Earth Day!

Earth Day is to remind each person of his right and the equal right of each person to the use of this global home and at the same time the equal responsibility of each person to preserve and improve the Earth and the quality of life thereon.

If only human being are aware of how huge their contributions can be to minimize global warming, dying oceans, pollution and other threats against the environment, the world would probably a healthier place to live at. Here are 9 of many ways an individual can help protect the world from ecological doom.

1. Conserve water.
Pay attention on how you use water. Check and fix the water leaks. Use a hose nozzle and turn off the water while you wash your car And you can also brush your teeth without Running Water- Save water. Closing the faucet when brushing your teeth can actually save 5 gallons per day. Just use a mug of water to gargle after brushing.

2. Conserve energy.
You can save electricity by unplugging all appliances and tools when not in use and by turning off lights in unoccupied room.

3. Reduce and Recycle
This is basic, yet many people fail to throw their garbage properly. Segregate biodegradable, non-biodegradable, and recyclable wastes. There are many things you can recycle. Papers, batteries, glass, aluminum, metals, bottled water and more. Recycling these products can help eliminate almost 50% of wastes produced by people around the world.

4. Stop Smoking.
Cigarettes are not only the world’s number one cause of preventable death, they’re also a major cause of air, land and water pollution.

5. Walk or Ride a bike.
Conserve gasoline. You can reduce greenhouse gases while burning some calories and improving your health.

6. Compost.
Reduce organic waste by freezing leftovers for soups and stews, by cooking more accurate portions and by composting the remains. The land around you will be healthier and more vibrant for your efforts.

7. Work to Protect Animals.
Consider volunteering or donating with an organization dedicated to protecting wildlife -- threatened or not -- across the globe.

8. Do a Tree-planting project.
Trees produce oxygen, which helps minimize global warming. Planting trees helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, cleans pollution, secures soil in place to prevent erosion, and provides homes for a lot of biodiversity.

9. Create a Blog.
Share awareness online. If you have an opinion you want to voice out, you may want to start your own blog. And you can send Earth day greeting cards online.

“Living on and using the land is a privilege, not a right.” Simple actions can make a big difference, and everyone can and should contribute to positive change.

WHAT SHOULD I WRITE INSIDE GREETING CARDS?

 greeting cards

Knowing what to write in a card can be difficult for some people even for those who usually have no problem expressing themselves.  Anyone can end up staring at the blank space inside a card and wondering what to write. Don’t spend too much time thinking about what to write. But don’t force it either, let it come to you naturally or else the receiver can see through it. You can write something thoughtful, the best greeting card message you can.

Write Something Funny
Humor is a good idea, it can really brighten up someone's day and if it's funny, they will really remember the card. To use familiarity is the best tool for writing a funny message in someone's greeting card. Think of something you know that the card receiver is familiar with. Use the information or situation to make up something funny. This is going to take some creativity on your part and at the same time, communicates to the other person that you thought about your message.

Make Them Cry
If you have the goal of making someone cry with your greeting card message, you will actually going to put a little extra effort into your writing. You need to write an extremely personal message. You can send someone a card in a more special way with the use of music and candle light, to get someone in the mood before delivering the greeting card.

TIPS
If you have a talent that you can apply to a greetings cards, use it. If you’re an amazing artist, draw something the opposite side from your message or if you are a writer, write a poem. And if you can, make the card. It will show that you really care by making the time and effort for them.
